GERRY WEBER International AG (hereinafter shortly referred to as GERRY WEBER), on whose website this data privacy statement is published, is always keen to offer you an excellent service for all its products and services. We consider protection of your privacy particularly important when using our websites. Below, we wish to inform you thoroughly about the collection of anonymous and personal data.

1. Anonymous data collection

You can principally visit the websites of GERRY WEBER without letting us know who you are. We only learn the name of your Internet Service Provider, the website, from where you visit us, and the websites, which you visit with us. This kind of information is analysed for statistical purposes. You as an individual user remain anonymous in this process.

This data is transferred in encrypted form, in order to counteract any misuse of data by third parties. Your data is exclusively processed within the Federal Republic of Germany.

3. Use and disclosure of personal data

Personal data collected in conjunction with the websites of GERRY WEBER are without your consent only used for purposes of contract implementation and to process your inquiries.

Personalised services are such services for which you have to register with your personal data. The object of these services is a comfortable and quick tailoring of our online-offers to your personal interests.

Your log-in or registration data are accessible and changeable at all times at all company portals, where you register with your personal data, under the link “Edit profile”.

Of course, you can delete your data at all times. Insofar as imperative data specifications are affected by deletion, this however leads to the fact, that you are no longer able to use the personalised service.

5. What do we mean by specifically tailored advertising?
Within the scope of our personalised services we compile, in case of your consent, advertising tailored specifically to you and a personal user profile. For this purpose, the registration data known from the use of our portals and the stored data about the use of our services (frequency, duration, participation in sweepstakes, purchase of goods, use of offered services and content), are amalgamated in a data base. There, the registration and user data are automatically analysed with a view to match the user profile resulting from it with our offered products and services. After that, we are able to launch advertising tailored to you personally. Hence, you are spared a provision of information unnecessary to you; to us, your data allow a more targeted address. The user profile for example makes it possible for us to provide you, after storage of your preferred item or preferred service, by e-mail or Newsletter with advertising tailored individually to you. Of course, we draw up the user profile only based on your activities within our portals.

6. What are cookies?
A cookie is a small data set which can be filed on your hard disk. This data set is generated by the web-server, with which you have set up a connection by means of your web-browser (e.g. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox), and then sent to you. On principle, your data are not passed on to any third party. Any disclosure to the enterprises of our company / group or to other third parties mentioned in the declaration of consent, only takes place with your consent and insofar as such addressees have committed themselves towards us to compliance with the applicable data protection regulations.

For purposes of processing your inquiries and your use of our services we also entrust service providers. These service providers are bound by contract to compliance with data privacy regulations, and are not deemed to be third parties in terms of data privacy law.

11. Does this data privacy statement also apply to online forums and Chats?
When communicating in online forums and chats, which are made accessible to you on the pages by our company, you are in a public domain. Therefore, the data privacy statement does not cover this kind of transmission of your personal data. Please consider this when using these offered services.

14. What about the technical safety when transmitting my data?
Personal data stored by us is stored in safe operating environments, and are not accessible to the public. In certain cases, like e.g. when specifying your password, the personal data is encrypted by means of a safe technique before the transaction is executed. Beyond that, we delete your call detail records normally immediately on the day after termination of the connection, provided that no legal regulations or official orders conflict with it.
