Positive sales trend in GERRY WEBER’s Retail segment continues
Sales revenues in the Retail segment totalled EUR 32.7 million in the first two months (November and December) of the new fiscal year. This represents an increase of 24.4% on the previous year. Like-for-like sales of the company’s own HOUSES of GERRY WEBER in the German core market were up by almost 8%. This clearly exceeds the trend for the all-German textile retail sector, which reported a 5% increase in November and a 1% increase in December, according to “Textilwirtschaft“ magazine.
The HOUSES of GERRY WEBER outside Germany also showed a positive performance, with like-for-like sales up by 5% on the previous year. The company expanded its international Retail activities through the successful opening of two stores in England and one store in Denmark.
The Online segment, which forms part of the Retail segment, boosted its sales by more than 28% as compared to the previous year.
