GERRY WEBER International AG with HALL 30 erects a further fashion centre

The perfect location in Düsseldorf – Fashion in the city of businessmen

The premises in Düsseldorf – Derendorf have been recently acquired by the Rheinmetall-Immobilien GmbH and are located beside the Innside Hotel. They are bordered by Heinrich-Eberhardt street at the North-Eastern side and by Derendorfer Allee at the South-Eastern side. In close proximity is located HALLE 29, which has established itself as order centre for ladies’ and men’s fashion since 2003 and is likewise property of GERRY WEBER International AG. „There is a great interest in HALLE 30. During the past months, we have held in-depth conversations and have potential tenants for about two-thirds of the complete space, among them quite a few renowned fashion- and lifestyle brands. In these economically challenging times we intentionally want to set the trend for the fashion location Düsseldorf “, Gerhard Weber, chairman of the board of management of GERRY WEBER International AG explains the decision. The site had a perfect transport connection and already had a high awareness level in fashion trade due to HALLE 29, Weber continued. Especially foreign customers appreciated the good working conditions in HALLE 29 with short distances to many fashion companies and the convenient shuttle service to the exhibition centre and the fashion houses during the trade fair. The company wanted to pursue this path and further improve the conditions by means of the new building. „Owing to this property, the fashion and fair location Düsseldorf can increase its appeal further and orients itself towards the future. Commercial partners from home and abroad will reward the improved infrastructure and good working conditions in the long term with their loyalty to Düsseldorf “, Lord mayor of the state capital Düsseldorf Dirk Elbers emphasised.
The first sod of HALLE 30 is supposed to be turned still this year; the building is to be ready for occupancy end of 2010. Then, a contemporary industrial architecture will extend over six floors with air-conditioned rooms suffused with light. Flexible floor plans of 240 square metres to 2.330 square metres with ceiling heights to 4,10m open up attractive possibilities of use.
