GERRY WEBER is a member of the amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI) since 2010.The reason is that it is very important for GERRY WEBER to offer a fair and sustainable working conditions for the employees. This initiative serves to review and improve social standards and working conditions at suppliers and farms in a global value chain.

Together with the world's leading business association for free and sustainable trade, we are committed to find practicable solutions for quality assurance and continuous improvement. Furthermore, our suppliers are obliged to comply with the social standards of the amfori BSCI Code of Conduct.

bioRe® Sustainable Textiles:
100% traceable

Our fashion which are labelled with the quality label bioRe® Sustainable Textiles, are produced with a skin-friendly organic cotton in a fair and CO2-neutral way. This is produced in cooperation with the Swiss textile company Remei AG, the raw material comes from the bioRe® Foundation's cultivation projects in India and Tanzania.

The Remei AG supports their autonomy by offering a contribution of 15% above the conventional market price for cotton, a guarantee for purchasing and pre-financing the seeds.

Organic cotton: one with nature

bioRe® organic cotton is produced without chemical synthetic pesticides and fertilizers. This form of cultivation is good for soil fertility and biodiversity, it also keeps the water, air and soil clean from chemical waste.

You can follow on www.biore.ch every step in the production process with your traceability number.

The supply-chain can also be easily tracked with the QR-codes– starting from the cotton seeds, which are free of genetic manipulation.
